[Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam] Con Ốc Quán

We came across this tiny restaurant while walking around HCMC one evening. It looked interesting so we dropped in for a snack. To drink, a young coconut and a non-alcoholic iced drink made from pickled plum which was sweet and salty and very refreshing in the heat. My husband had a banana blossom salad which was fine and I had fried crab parcels with a nice bowl of dipping sauce and some steamed rice vermicelli and fresh herbs (I love how pretty much everything in Vietnam except the coffee is served with a massive selection of fresh herbs). This was excellent. The restaurants specialty is snails but we didn’t try any as we are not really into snails.
