made it there today. not too crowded, but my only quibble is the cart, which you have to drag behind you and bend down to get stuff in and out at the cash register.
as expected, a diverse produce selection. i was particularly interested in the citrus. while i was surprised that there were no meyer lemons or blood oranges, the regular lemons were enormous — a bargain @ 69 cents. and i picked up a couple of sumo mandarins. while not cheap — $5.99@pound — they can be really hard to find, and they are so so good!

I went this morning (Friday). It was not too crowded. They have fit SO MANY THINGS into that space. Prices were lower than expected on many things (e.g., avocados, kimbap) while higher on other things (e.g., organic milk). I think it is a great addition to the neighborhood and look forward to working my way through all of the things that they have to offer!!!

Speaking of Sumo mandarins, I was in the Star Market in Porter Sq, Cambridge a few days ago. They had a special for anyone who has a U-member account with them. Sumos were $1.97/lb. Let’s just say that I loaded up!
