Hipster Hawker Center opens in Singapore

“The hawker centre, which opened yesterday, has 20 traditional food stalls on the ground floor and 22 on the second storey selling “hipster” dishes such as chicken rice burgers and wagyu beef bowls.”


Many Singaporeans are actually up-in-arms against this new self-proclaimed “hipster” hawker centre, as they felt the youngsters were “not respecting tradition” with their sometimes radical, revisionist take on old hawker favourites.
