Attracted by its claim of being an offshoot of one of Hong Kong’s iconic Chiu-Chow specialist with the same name. I decided to give this neighbourhood place a try. Sadly the overall experience was just so-so and nothing to write home about.
For dine in, I had a combo-bowl of rice flat noodle aka ho-fun in soup. Toppings selected were braised Chu-Hou beef brisket and Lo-Shui, herbed/spiced Soy sauce marinated Beef Offal.
I also brought home half a Rose Essence Soy-Sauce Free range Chicken as well as half a ’ smoked ’ Grand-Father Soy-sauce free range bird.
Overall, though acceptable by GTA standard, taste profile of the food was mainly one dimensional and lacked depth and complexity.
