Hello, Lake Tahoe?

There hasnt been anything posted about CA Tahoe in more than a year.

What’s worthwhile?

Thanks!

Zuck would go…

My daughter went for July 4th. I don’t know what she ate, but it was apparently a zoo, and then a pig-stye on the beach. Cleaned up now, I think.

I wonder where around the lake you are asking about…

Incline: Ohana Diner Hawaiian is pretty well-liked and fairly new. Rosewood Tahoe looks good but I haven’t yet been there. Wing’s Korean Kitchen does great fried chicken (no website).

Truckee: Great Gold Italian has been in Truckee for a couple years now and generally well-liked and the chefs are opening a French restaurant Tangerine late summer/fall 2023. RMU is in the ranking for best burger in town. Old Town Tap has Truckee’s best pizza and great drinks.

Tahoma: Cult Burger is new, Dog & Bear Tavern (pizza) since 2021.

South Lake Tahoe: New restaurant The Woods, but I haven’t visited.

Thank you very much.

Chambers Landing is where we’ll be.

Thanks Again!

Spoon restaurant near sunnyside. Small, didnt have a wine license when we were there in June but did BYOB. Run by lovely couple, creative CA influenced /Mediterrean food, homemade desserts, reasonable prices. Small menu but with vegetarian option.

It’s been a few years, but our favorite place in South Tahoe was Azul. Good Mexican food, accomodating service, and live music 365 days/year. Full details at my eponymous blog

Lanza’s in King’s Beach was a family favorite for generations.

Thanks. Our hosts say the like Spoon. Logistics dictated we go to Chambers Landing instead.

Whitecaps Pizza, Kings Beach.
Surprisingly good pizza, nice caesar salad with high quality white anchovies, tasty roasted Brussel sprouts and a good small beer list. The Crooked Lane Concrete Heros Kettle Sour (Auburn, CA) w/ Marionberry, Blackberry & Boysenberry was very enjoyable.
