Yeah, it was a safe consumable. But as long as it was squishy, I wish it’d been white bread.
Update: got an email from Google today saying that the owners had replied directly, with an excerpt of the first couple of sentences. When I clicked “See full reply” nothing showed up.
Not the removal of the Google review, but I have been refused a children’s portion before. I wanted to have the child’s meal option at my hospital canteen, because the choice appealed to me more and I don’t mind a smaller portion. But the canteen server would not allow me to order it. I escalated to the manager, who also refused, on the basis I wasn’t a child. My colleague at the time, who was accompanying me, patted me on the head and said I was his child. Cue hard stare from the manager: “She’s not your child.” (I’m a 4 foot 10 woman of Indian heritage and he’s a 6 foot plus blond Englishman who is actually a few years younger than me). Those were days before ubiquitous reviews and feedback.
Your child is always in the car/bathroom, should be here any minute.
I order kids’ meals for takeout or delivery often. No one knows who’s actually going to eat it.
But that’s a different situation altogether.
There was a commercially owned review site, local to me, that I used to submit reviews to with no problem. That is until the day I sent a really critical review of one place, which within a couple of days, they had taken down. I emailed asking what was going on. Reply was that didnt publish negative reviews. So, of course, I asked why. Reply was that their sister company did “business development” stuff for restaurants and there might be a conflict of interest. Perhaps needless to say, that was the last review I sent them.
Might???
