Damn. I never realized it was an amendment. Scary stuff, the things that can become rights and then become illegal and who knows who can do what and where?

Actually 2 Amendments. The 18th, which was the actual prohibition, and the 21st, which repealed the 18th.
So what happened in between, besides a lot of bootlegging? The 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote, and the 20th Amendment, which moved the beginning and ending dates for the terms of the president, vice president, and Congress.

I shouldn’t be celebrating the way I am, but I confess to snagging a pint of bourbon in our local grocery along with stuff to make burgers for dinner. … and stuck it it in my own pocket. If I can lose my reproductive rights I can still celebrate the repeal of temperance.
