Guerra in the Sunset SF is my go to …

I like Guerra (Taraval/15th Avenue, SF) more and more (although it bothers me that a lot of items are missing the price tag!). It’s FAST in and out and they gets fresh Mary’s chickens delivered daily, 7 days a week. (Fish department doesn’t appeal)

They have a big variety of freshly ground meat and I just noticed Calabro whole milk ricotta, $6 for a pint.

They know how to slice deli meats super thin, neat. Yesterday for the first time I bought their prepared lasagna Bolognese, a large slice was $14 (their fresh pasta) so a lot less expensive than in a restaurant and it’s a 2-day affair if I make it at home.

I really like going to a real butcher and will not buy meats at Safeway, etc.
