So the same company that makes baked beans now cans Butter Chicken chickpeas? I think we’ve found their specialty. (sounds horn)
Yep.
I think Clark is trying to offer some new things to reflect changing tastes.
Before you turn your nose at Clark’s Butter Chicken Chickpeas, which I have not tried yet, one of my go-to dishes at pan Indian restos is Dal Makhni/ Dal Makhani, the legume equivalent to Chicken Makhani/ Butter Chicken. Channa Makhani is also a thing!
$2.79 for a can of curried chickpeas vs $12 for an order of curried chickpeas from a take-out Indian or Caribbean resto.
I hope the Clark’s chickpeas are a good product, I will buy a can and try them out

I can’t help but notice McDs and A & W are offering spicier options, and more chicken at breakfast, which might appeal to changing tastes with the younger demographic in Canada. The veggie burger at A & W tastes like vada pav on a burger bun.
I have purchased some imported Indian pouches of ready to eat chickpeas. The sodium count is really high.
Sprague makes a canned Dal and canned Cuban black beans that are pretty darn good for a mangiacake canner.

I had suggested a Panang curry flavour for Lay’s Name a Flavour contest about 15 years ago. (I didn’t win)
Now, Lay’s and PC have lots of spicy chip options. It’ll be interesting to see what comes next .
Where did Sophia’s sense of humour go?
lol
