I’m quite happy I don’t have to drive to San Mateo or Burlingame for Turkish staples any more. Shout out to my new-ish local market Grand Bazaar. Freshly ground halal chicken and beef, readymade kebabs with beef and lamb, fresh hummus and babaghanouj, pita, Turkish labneh, spices and a whole roster of frozen goodies as well. Acme bread too!

Where do you buy Turkish ingredients in San Mateo or Burlingame (and yes, Grand Bazaar is a good addition so SC) ?
In San Mateo, for decades together I’ve shopped at Aladdin on Hillsdale, and sometimes Anatolian near San Mateo Park, and in Burlingame, when I lived there, I shopped at Istanbul market on Broadway.
Istanbul in particular has rather splendid quality of goat, and other red meat.
