Unclear what you mean, return to some past tone? Bon Appétit still exists as a print magazine, as well as in digital form.
On another forum, the discussion of the new Gourmet led to someone linking to Ruth Reichl’s own Substack, La Briffe. Lots of good stuff there, not updated too often.

The writing is trying to imitate old, as in really old, Gourmet. To me, it sounds forced and awkward. Maybe they’ll find their groove and it won’t sound like they’re trying to play some 1960’s restojournalist on a gossip column.
