I think I mentioned to some a very nice meal at Rana Fifteen (4th Ave at Union Street in Park Slope) https://www.ranafifteen.com/ last week - the three of us had the $45 special dinner, a whole table of mezze and apps, bread, 2 sides, 2 mains and dessert and it was ample and excellent, see earlier report by @Ziggy which had inspired me GOOD EATS NYC 2023 (A Blanket Thread) - #182 by Ziggy
The lamb ribs were particularly delicious, the branzino was ample in size and well cooked, but I would go with a meaty or veg main the next time, I think. We ate up every crumb of the food served.
first the apps, with a big accompanying salad
the items were thoughtfully portioned so each person got one piece of each
midye dolma, stuffed clams, fava (cubed), shrimp, borek
tarama, calamari, atom labneh, spiced fresh cheese, burst cherry tomatoes in a spicy tomato sauce, and super herbed eggplant fritters
All were thougtfully portioned for a group of three.
the mains - rosy lamb rib chops with apricots,
branzino roasted with a typical turkish spice mix (dried herbs, chiles and sumac I believe)
Several of the dishes, including the lamb included browned butter in the saucing, which just added a wonderful mellow flavor.
We agreed that this place was a gem and will be back! thanks to @ziggy for pointing it out, it just tok a while to respond!
