Many years ago on a road trip through Santa Cruz my friends and I stumbled across Hidden Peak Teahouse, a spot that specialized in the Gong Fu style of tea preparation- short steeps with a small amount of water repeated over a long period. The shop provided a steady supply of hot water along with the equipment necessary to brew the tea ourselves at our own pace. They offered a wide variety of teas, including some very high end pu-erh; but because the style of preparation made for easy sharing, our group was able to enjoy a very fine tea in a lovely relaxed environment.
This was an incredible experience, but Santa Cruz is a long way out of the way. Is there anything like this in SF or the surrounding region?
