Gom Tang E in Centreville - Goat!

I was tipped off that goat is on the menu at Gom Tang E, so that’s where I was headed.

This used to be in Annandale as well as a satellite in Eden Center. But the EC one closed down after seeing little business.

This place is as Korean as it gets, especially with the metal chopsticks, but also the way the place si set up, mostly with long tables that go from the front to the back of the restaurant. Service is brusk.

Two things I don’t often see on Korean menus: Goat, and also as a bonus bindatteok, or mung bean pancakes. There are two goat dishes on the menu, one very expensive and the soup that I ordered. It could be the expensive one is a multi-course dish…

The bindatteok is not as gooey as the one I had in Seoul or even at Siroo when they have it on occasion. It is fried for longer here. It is a crispy item that provides a welcome contrast to the soup. The soup has a lot of goat in it, and the goat flavor really came through. A winner! Banchan is limited, though.

I did not know they were still around. Thanks for the heads up! Love goat Korean style.
