Had one of the best tasting ’ Charbroiled no-filler Hamburger ’ for a long while. Well charred, smokey and aromatic with a nice selection of toppings. $20 for a 6oz burger with extra bacon, fries, drink and gravy.
FWIW, the housemade burgers are usually called a Homeburger at places like Golden Star, Burger Shack, Johnny’s , and Square Boy. They often have a cheaper hamburger as well, so if you’re going to any Greek- run old school burger spot like Golden Star, Square Boy or Burger Shack, always pony up for the more expensive Homeburger option, when there are 2 options.
I have a friend whose parents, who own a restaurant in Simcoe, Ontario, had their first date at Golden Star around 1972.
