I went to the new location of Hing Lung / Go Duck Yourself in Bernal Heights last night for dinner. They are having a soft opening now. I’ve had their excellent roast duck rice plates a few times via delivery.

I had a small order of their char siu pork collar ($10.50), a small order of their greens ($10) which are finished with a shot of whiskey, and a small order of white rice ($2)
Why didn’t I order the duck you ask? Well it was half a duck and I was flying solo. They don’t really have solo diner friendly items at the moment. In retrospect I probably should have gotten the duck as I took half of my char siu and half of the greens and half of the rice home The portions are generous. Anyways the char siu was really good. It had a nice glaze. The greens (maybe yu choy?) were also good but could have been cooked just a tad bit longer. The rice was fine but could have used a bit less water. My meal came with a scallion oil sauce that was a bit unique - slightly crispy scallion in oil that was nice with the vegetables especially. I will be back to duck myself in the future.
