Long story, but my flight was delayed interminably and I had to get on a call right after I landed, so skipped lunch, and needed a bite so ended up at Garrison, the fancier cousin to all the other onsite restaurants at the Fairmont.
I had the turmeric fried oyster, and was served an amuse bouche tartlet complimentary, and had a really nice beef tartare with cured egg yolk, unctuous and well seasoned without the sack of salt that plagues this dish around the world. They also served a perfect macaron with goat cheese, that was inventive and delicious.
I thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and service, and this place deserves a Michelin star, in my view.
