There’s a new Korean reataurant in the old Anna’s Place space in El Cerrito called Gangnam Tofu. For my inaugural visit, I had the kimchi jji-gae. It was fantastic: sour, porky, spicy. It was even better the next day for lunch! Next time, I’m going to order one of the several fried chicken dishes. Several other patrons ordered it, and I felt left out. I could hear them crunching on the skin two tables away!

Cool find, that’s a nice variety of chicken
From the ABC records it looks like it’s the same owner of Anna’s, but they’ve switched from being diner style with a few Korean dishes to a full Korean restaurant.
Gangnam now has a website and online ordering. I’ve ordered takeout from them at least once a month, but the online system is new and worked just fine on yesterday’s order. There are usually other people around waiting for orders which makes me happy since I really want this place to stick around!
