This has been noted on the Texas board but for everyone’s sake - Galveston has been called the most prolific oyster harvestry in the country (before BP and Harvey) and may supply up to 45% of the US harvest. These oysters can show up anywhere.
This is not the deadly flesh-eating illness that you can get from oysters, it’s a norovirus. Only one hospitalization known so far. But – Don’t Get Sick for the Holidays!
