YIKES! Just another version of âdine and dashâ. Some of those weekly chargebacks to the restaurant are an insane amount of money for a small family-run restaurant (ÂŁ5,000 / $6500+ USD in 3 months for one restauranteur!).
My first thought was cash, and it was noted in the article (and in the comments). But also that restauranteur now says âHe accepts Chip and PIN or Apple and Google Pay, as they require a PIN code or biometric identification, making it harder for customers to claim they are fraudulent.â
I honestly donât know how supposed âadultsâ can do this to hardworking restaurant owners. ![]()

Not here. I canât recall the last time I came across anywhere that didnt take cards (although the cafe at a nearby garden centre does require a minimum ÂŁ5 spend to use a card)
