I developed an unhealthy dependency on the GLS Schodl Bloody Muscat.
This is a good time to hit Foxface. Far easier to get in than the early days. Plus, they still have their summer seafood platter: sweet, sweet shrimp, oysters in a foam of their own juices, lovely, clean slices of scallop with bits of scattered skirt, surf clam, whelk, and a spicy bluefish. If you do get the platter, get the bread course. I found tiny nibbles of the accompanying pickles a useful palate-cleanser between seafood bites, and the bread itself a good base for the whelk. They supply crackers, and they (the crackers, not the staff) proved terrific scoopers of the bluefish.
At the end of the month they’ll have wild game.
