It’s a travesty what NJ winemakers call wine most of the time. That sweet fruity stuff. I absolutely hate it.
Having said that, a friend of mine runs the Tomasello tasting room in Freehold, and they actually have some decent dry wines. Pop on over and tell her (Tracy) Joon sent ya. She is the best! BYOF.
I’ve had the displeasure of going to a few “wine festival” things at Monmouth track over the years, and every time it just makes me sick and upset.
Thanks Joon, I appreciate the rec. My wife and I had a lovely wknd at
recently and while the wine wasn’t mind blowing, it wasn’t awful by any means. And, the grounds, event facility and partners were very helpful. We tried their Estate Chardonnay and Chelsea Dry Rosé.
