My mom made a gravy with everything and anything that had roasted, fried, whatever meat, and it was the highlight. My daughter can down a biscuit and gravy, but I need to have a sunny side up on top of it (egg on top works really well with B&G). The open face roast beef, gravy all over with mashed potatoes samich is one of my faves. Nope. They look at that like we as kids looked at head cheese. Now I like head cheese. Hopefully they’ll come around one day. Turkey and gravy open faced. I NEED that. They would rather not.
