Adding the Toronto Blueberry bun. Hyper-regional, but as far as I know, Toronto still is in Canada.

7 years, and no mention of Rogers’ Chocolates. Maybe a west coast thing? We never visit Victoria or Vancouver without visiting this chocolatier at least once (often twice). I believe we’ve enjoyed their chocolates in Banff, also.

Blueberry Buns seem to be a thing at Toronto Polish bakeries and Toronto Ukrainian bakeries during the summer, too.

I’ve never tried one. I have seen quite a few photos posted on Instagram this past summer.

They are available some places in Ontario but are more common in BC.

Purdy’s and Laura Secord are the other main national chains.

Laura Secord isn’t what it once was.

I made a batch earlier this summer. I loved them. I hope to make them every blueberry season going forward.

Butter tarts and tourtière. Moose Milk to drink (booze + ice cream).

Although I have scant knowledge of Canadian eats, what first came to mind were Saskatoon berries, pemmican, and sugar shacks.

Pemmican is actually pretty good. Saskatoon berries are delicious. Tourtière is amazing and sugar shacks rock!
