I have some friends coming for a visit and am planning to take them out for an earlyish lunch before their flight home on Sunday. LGA, so Flushing/dim sum is ideal. They’ve never had dim sum before, so l think it would be fun to do a cart service place, though I’m open to one with menus if the food is a significant upgrade. Asian Jewels still the winner for cart service? Thanks in advance for your recs!
We love Asian Jewels and are headed there this weekend. Would be interested to hear what others think.
We ended up at Asian Jewels too - had a great meal, although I’m not sure my friends loved it as much as I do. They’re not super adventurous and he doesn’t care much for shrimp (didn’t know this going in), which meant the options were somewhat limited for him. Still, they loved the bbq pork buns, ham sui gok (though these were remarkably skimpy on filling this time around), taro root dumplings and fried rice. If we did dim sum again I would take them to a place with a printed menu/EN translations, but they had fun doing the whole cart experience.

We went to Golden Wonton King in Murray Hill, but no carts and a shorter dim sum menu, with lots of live seafood.
