Fluffy Seagull...?!? [Cape Cod, MA]

Some of you may have seen this in today’s Boston.com headlines. For those who don’t know what this is (like me), you can learn more in this story:

I know I’m behind on most popular trends - particularly if they spread on TikTok - but what in tarnation…? I love peanut butter and fluff sandwiches, but I am both intrigued and mildly disgusted by this. Peanut butter beverage… and then in a coffee? I’m clutching my pearls over here.

Have you had this? What are your thoughts? If not, would you try this? Will this spread to other establishments who want a cash grab?

No, I haven’t had it.
Thoughts - The amount of sugar in this makes my teeth ache.
No, I wouldn’t stand in line for an hour to try it.
It already has spread to other establishments, per the article.

I wonder if this is fall-out from the dirty soda trend.

B and I are too cheap/frugal to buy coffee outside so this, like all food trends, is new-to-me. That said, unless I try something, I can’t disparage it, as annoying as that trend might be.

Plus, if it weren’t for Fluffernutters, I may not have survived elementary school (I was very picky and mom was strapped for time).

I would only try something like this at the Fluff Fest in a sample portion. Otherwise, no. Never going to order a full size version!

Now THAT makes sense!

I grew up in northern NJ, so Fluffernutters were not on my mother’s radar. I first heard about them as an adult after I moved to MA in 1989 and thought , hmmm, maybe. But I’ve still never had one. LOL

Fluffernutter was a mainstay during sophomore year in college. No kitchen, so it was an easy quick food with no refrigeration required. I had a dinner only meal plan, so lunch was fluffernutter or lunch trucks.

I’m not a marshmallow fan by any means, but the combo works well with the slight saltiness of the PB. Making then at home allows you to control the amount of fluff.
