Maybe a silverware law is involved
Disclaimer: I’ve used my dishwasher maybe 18 times over 10 yrs.
Handles down, always. I also don’t like knife blades, tines or spoons to be jamming each other. “Handles down” seems like it makes sense to fit them in properly.
Maybe this is my inexperience with dishwashers. I just always thought the way the sprayers worked, it would be cleaner with the used dirty ends more exposed, no?
