From Gary’s Crooner Sessions. Really terrific duet of Tempted.

I’m almost nervous to listen. The last time I heard Sting croon anything, it was embarrassing to sit through. His famous usual style is great in his own songs and anything similar, but he seemed to have trouble trying to sing outside that. Maybe he’s found a bridge between the two since then.

HA! Now that’s a better solution! (I got brave and listened.) Sting, just be Sting, and let the chips fall where they may.

Be brave. I feel that way sometimes about many of my music heroes. Sometimes, they can surprise not just us but themselves.

Do you enjoy gawking at gear, boards and tape as much as I do?

My whole life in a nutshell
My aforementioned friends who played the Holiday Inn circuits had had enough after 10+ years and took their largesse and bought Grand Funk’s home studio from Bob Heil and brought it all back to KCK and put it all in an old house.

I lived there for a few years.
Otari 8 track, Scully 2 track mixdown, and a Burns and Heath 24 track board.
They recorded 1 album there, a polka LP by local guys.
They sold it all eventually as real life interceded.
