So what are you finding of interest, and where are you finding it, this year at New Jersey farm stands and markets?

They are delishus.

Serendipitous. A friend of mine, who thinks I know all about produce, has been bugging me about Crenshaws for a couple weeks. Stopped by & got her two today. ALso had a long conversation with the owner - very nice guy. And very nice produce.

Andy is cool. He bought the place so it wouldn’t turn into McMansions. Capellis is worthy of our patronage.

At the farm market in Monmouth Beach (Saturday mornings), I’ve seen cucuzza squash (gagootz) and fresh garlic with the long stalks.

Figs and plums showed up this week.
