Fandor.com, the Netflix for the rest of us, is having a subscription sale through the end of August . You can get a whole year of the service for $40.
If you don’t know the Fandor streaming service, it’s nothing but movies, including movies about movies. There’s no “original” hipster water cooler fare to pad its offerings, but if you are into Indies, International film and Documentaries it has much richer content than Netflix, IMHO. There’s a pretty good selection of documentaries about food, which might even be worth the $40 by itself.
[Disclaimer: I do not work for Fandor; I am just a fan of the service,]
