We returned early last month to Les Parisiens for the lunch menu, still 45E.
The mini gougere amuse:
The peas and mint starter was enjoyable.
I come to Les Parisiens for the fish. The salmon with artichoke purée and a sorrel sauce was very good, but I was surprised that it wasn’t properly very undercooked (it was not overcooked, to be clear; for the typical person at an above average American restaurant, it would have seemed “just right” or slightly undercooked), as essentially all prior fish dishes I’ve had here were.
I still give the dish a B+, but usually the fish dishes here are all A- with the occasional A.
The frites (unpictured) we ordered on the side were very good.
As was the strawberry and rhubarb dessert
They seem to have forgotten to charge us for my single glass of wine.
The lunch menu at Les Parisiens is a great deal, and the fish dishes here are worth the trip. We no longer go for dinner. For lunch it is still on our must-return list, but it is no longer a top-of-the-list, repeat visit-worthy place as Géméllus and Brion this year became for us.
