I recently revisited Empreinte and had another excellent meal. My report is here. I encourage you to try this under-the-radar restaurant.

I was so excited to read your reviews, but it looks like it’s too early to make a reservation (?). We’ll be in Paris from October 24-29, and those dates are blocked right now, and through November and December as well…will set a reminder to check back in a week or two. Looks very much like our tastes.
Would you recommend the atmosphere for a Friday night dinner? Going to book for my upcoming trip, but debating between a Tuesday or a Friday. As Friday is final night in Paris, definitely want to end in a good atmosphere.
My dinner there on a Friday last June, not long after onz’s report, which I wrote up here, was quite empty.
I have only been the one time, so YMMV.
I agree – every time I’ve been there, there have been only a few tables’ worth of diners. It’s too bad because they are doing such a very good job.
Thank you both @andygottlieb42 and @onzieme! Glad I asked; definitely want to be somewhere more packed for our final night dinner. Maybe I’ll do it for our first night, or a lunch, but will keep looking around.
When my wife and I went there on a Thursday night in March, we were one of three tables at 9 pm (one of which was a pretty large table). I thought it was a lovely, though not lively, environment, which was perfect for us. The food was incredible!

I had a similar experience last summer. The restaurant was about 1/3 full on a weekday at lunch, presumably comprised of locals who worked in the area. Quality product and a great meal, this place is a sleeper.
