Well folks, looks like all the praise and hype, appearing on various food blogs, pertaining to this place was accurate and right on the money!
With a spotlight on North Vietnamese style cuisine and Vietnamese BBQ. Food at this super trendy place, shrouded in funky, electrifying vibes and packed full of energy were creative, eclectic, exotic and stunningly delicious………Think ‘ Fried buttermilk free range chicken, house pan gravy, buttery mashed potato and sweet Vietnamese plum-gel syrup ‘ or ‘ Spicy Dan-Dan lo-mien with minced pork and shrimp smothered in a five spice, peanut & sesame sauce ‘ or a ‘ Lotus blossom salad with shredded lotus roots, pork belly, peanut, dry shrimp, cilantro, shiso and deep fried shallots ‘ or a ‘ Savory Pork Jowl bites served with a stunning Nam Jim Jeaw Sauce!! Yes! Fellow foodies who preempted and posted before me were correct! Their seasoning and sauces were amazing!
Other dishes we ordered included a flavourful and spicy Beef Satay Pho and Hainanese Chicken Rice with a twist…… .the accompanying chicken was crispy!!
In short, the meal was a total surprise and utterly enjoyable. Every single bite was a taste bomb, packed with contrasting textural components and a complex taste profile ready to explode inside the mouth!
Service, though with a packed front-of-house and a waiting line at the entrance, was extremely friendly and attentive.
