I pre-ordered 30 empanadas from El Sur a few weeks ago for a party, and they were a hit. Despite their different shapes and sealing patterns, the five varieties re-heated in the oven equally well. Crust was uniform, with no tough spots or soggy spots. Solid fillings held their integrity, and built upon one another. I’d recommend all the flavors, but my favorite was the traditional, which centered around chunks of beef and was seasoned with onions, olives, and a hint of pimenton.
