El Sapo Social Club in Silver Spring

We got a lead on this Cuban place from a Miami friend. It had some weak spots, but the ceviche

was the best I’vehad in the DC metro area, and the Cuban sandwich

was very good, also the best I’ve had in DC. Let’s take a closer look at the pork

That’s a nice remoulade that was great on the fries.

The flan also was top notch

Here is an interesting article about the chef, Raymond Mendizabal. His other restaurant, Urban Butcher, was a bit pricey and closed.
