Eater National's Best Restaurants/Texas Picks

From Eater National.

Texas Picks: Franklin’s, Hugo’s, and a Tex-Mex place in San Antonio - Garcia’s.

Anybody ever been? Senor Ostiones? You and Wifeacita get over there pretty often.

I must be the only person here who thinks Hugo’s is overrated. I’ve been several times and I don’t get it. Not likely to return.

I agree. We went a couple of years ago for a Mother’s Day brunch buffet and it was …“Meh”.

Never been to Garcia’s but we did hit Blanco’s for quintessential Tex-Mex beef enchiladas and puffy beef tacos, the only puffys I’ve had. The wifeacita had chicken but preferred the beef.

The place was packed with business type people and locals at lunch.

Er, uh… Well, I’ll take a chance on posting this here (and quickly duck under the desk…)

Senor Ortega’s next venture, opening next month, will focus on Oaxacan specialties.
