I don’t cook any omni proteins, I really haven’t the slightest what to do with them and would potentially poison someone!
When i do this for my parents there are a number of recipes they love as is and just have a vegetarian meal that day. Or i’ll make the basic stew or whatever and my mom will cook and add the omni protein at that point or when reheating the meal (they love ham in the wild rice veggie soup)
I avoid any fake meats myself for the most part and don’t use them cooking for omnis with the excellent of soyrizo from trader joe’s which is a universal love.
These veggie quinoa black bean enchiladas are delicious if you need an enchilada recipe, i cheat and use a mild canned salsa and swap in corn tortillas so it makes more smaller ones
I’ve also made these hearty lentil walnut meatless balls (yet never the sauce), just use an egg instead of the flax. I used canned lentils once and they worked great! let the mixture rest at least an hour in the fridge before shaping into balls Bake before freezing. They’re great as is for a snack, or with some tomato sauce and veggies or pasta.
