Duc Huong [San Jose - Little Saigon

I make it to San Jose almost never so I was excited I had to drive down for work (less excited to be taken out to the woodshed by a Federal judge for half an hour), so I could grab a banh mi. This place bakes their own bread - and I think supply it to other banh mi joints as well. There are ropes set up so it is clearly a high volume business. Banh Mi come in small ($4ish) or large ($8ish).

The Pate Chaud Pork pastries were delicious, filled with ground pork, pate and something that tasted like chestnuts - bargain at $2.25. The grilled pork banh mi was excellent, the pork was marinated and flavorful with a smokey grilled flavor. Well balanced. Bread is light and crispy.

The important part at Duc Huang is if you ordered your banh mi with garlic bread ?

Whaaat?!? Now that is some information I wish I had possessed 8 hours ago - duly noted for next time.

I think you’ve got a typo in the name of the place. Shouldn’t it be “Duc Huong”?

The thought of garlic bread banh mi has my stomach gurgling…

Story of my life - thanks!
@hungryonion can you please fix - I’m past the edit window.
