For those of you who are in town more often than you would like to be consuming pizza, Haven Hot Chicken has a superb Nashville style hot fried chicken sandwich. Mild has just a bit of bite.
In our view it outperforms the local Korean fried chicken places , by far. It is good enough that we had to break our habit.
There is no seating, so you’ll need to grab your food and move on.
Note that there are currently two other locations in Orange, CT and Norwalk, CT.
I’ve been to the Norwalk restaurant several times now. I wish Westchester would get a place like this. The attention to details really do make a tremendous difference. The (now ) ubiquitous Martins potato bun is enhanced here because, not only do they make a very good piece of chicken, but somebody took the time to make a very good coleslaw, rather than a tub of generic deli slaw, same thing with the pickles- not just a throw on item but ones that were chosen to improve the sandwich.
