Cream in Alfredos and Carbonaras is also common in Canada, the UK and Greece. Probably worldwide.
If I order Alfredo, I expect the cream type.
A handful of restaurants in Toronto make carbonara without cream. I’ve only ordered the egg type of Carbonara maybe 5 times in my life.
