It’s a little like the waiters in some restaurants who come by your table and instead of asking - how is everything - they ask whether everything is excellent.

I am fortunate to live in a part of the world where it is not generally the custom for servers to come and ask “how is everything”. Amongst the countries I visit, this only happens in America.
