It seems like more festivals crash and burn than not.
A festival for INSTANT ramen? I think the poor planning started with the idea.
No lies detected.
Not gonna lie - I love instant ramen. Something I grew up with and it’s still a treat in a weird way when I get a hard to find, really good ramen. But even I would never go to an instant ramen fest to eat multiple packs, and then pay for that privilege to get high blood pressure to boot. They are super salty, and how much can you really eat there, even if they were to fulfill the all the different ramens they thought they could get? It might have been better if they just did this as a chance to import or offer some hard to find ramen and let people sample/buy them as a pop up.
My ex used to make it for us when we were feeling lazy. Being half Thai she always had fried garlic in the pantry, and added a lot of other things to the most simple instant ramen — like cucumbers, leftover chicken, diced ham, or too much chili pepper.
I think it was her augmentations that slowly raised my tolerance for spicy food
