Looking for ideas in Matera

See if this helps; I am going back in May and will probably return to the two restaurants I mentioned here, certainly to TRATTORIA STANO.
I really enjoyed Soul Kitchen. I believe I had a Beef Tagliata Gorgonzola special there, well prepared and the host was very kind.
This is kind of off the beaten path, but there is a deli there that has made dishes and house wines.. I really enjoyed my meals there. They were not fine dining, but the were fine meals and I enjoyed both the food and the owners. The place is called Uacciardidd Butchers. I had to Command C that name, no way I will ever spell it correctly. But when I got back to Matera, I will have a meal or two there. Again.

that is a perfect stop for lunch and maybe get some provisions when we go forward to puglia!

I’ve been to that shop..really lovely! I bought things to bring home, but will put its on my list for a snack or meal on my next visit…thanks!!
