our kid has just started at Pomona college so we’ll be visiting often in the next few years. Downtown Claremont seems to offer either overpriced italian or student oriented places. We stumbled on Le Chef in Upland and loved their food. Any other suggestions for interesting restaurants in the area - preferably not Mexican since where we live has a lot of Mexican. Prefer Indian, Persian, Middle Eastern, Asian or creative california cuisine. Thanks

In addition to Kedai, I would also recommend Hilltop’s Jamaican in Pomona and the excellent Al-Amir Bakery in Claremont.
