Deep Cuts [Medford MA]

We may have played hooky today (after Spring Onion finished his half-day April vacay camp) to have a birthday lunch at Deep Cuts, play pinball and mancala (they have a good number of board games), and browse the record shop. Honestly, not the best sandwiches in the world (fried zucchini special for me which needed some oomph; fried chicken for B with a side of loaded fries [bacon, cheese, scallions] who said it was fine so also needed some unspoken oomph; and smash burger for Spring Onion, who is not a critic). Decent house beers, wine in cans and we were totally happy and would come back again. Friendly service, good-sized lunch crowd to make it feel convivial. I came away with an album from an oldie but goody band.

Thanks for posting, Digga. We’ve been talking about stopping in for the games. I recall Kara Baskin liking Deep Cuts when it first opened in West Medford by the train crossing.
