I bit on this one. I’m not much for ecookbooks but I’ve used so many of their recipes for free that I feel I owe them.
I bought the e-version, also. I use their website a lot, and like their recipes. I try to limit my purchases of physical books due to lack of space, and I love being able to read cookbooks in digital format for a few bucks before deciding if I need to buy the real deal.
Sweet Enough by Allison Roman is $2.99can.
Also US$2.99 for kindle
Drat! Already have it. But it’s great - I was previously reduced to saving individual recipes from the website into my Paprika app.
Sarah Kieffer’s 100 Morning Treats is currently free in the US on Kindle with the Kindle Unlimited membership.
Savory Baking by Erin Jeanne McDowell is currently $2.79 on kindle in the US (linked) and $2.99 in Canada.
Got it, thanks!
Pastry Love by Joanne Chang is $2.99 on Kindle/US today. I have the physical book- have made several recipes and particularly like the Black Sesame-Tahini Shortbread, Caramel Popcorn Cookies, and Whole Wheat Maple- Blueberry Scones!
Flour, Too: Indispensable Recipes for the Cafe’s Most Loved Sweets & Savories is also $2.99 digital and a much better cookbook. It includes her famous egg sandwich recipe.
To each their own- I have Flour, Too as well and don’t cook from it nearly as much, but that’s probably because I had easy access to Flour Bakeries for several years and could just go buy one of those great egg sandwiches whenever I needed one
Me too, spent many years in Boston. The egg sandwich is why I own her books.
Dorie Greenspan’s Baking Chez Moi is momentarily $2.99 on kindle. I may well snap it up at that price even though I have it in hard copy just to encourage me to revisit it more often. Lots of great recipes!
Uf, I missed it. Back to $25.99. I have the hardcover (bought it for BCOTM years ago) and frequently put it in my “donate” pile, but I pull it back out because there are still 2 or 3 recipes I want to try. An ebook would have solved that. Thank you for sharing; I’ll look for it in the future.
What have you especially liked in it? I had one hit: Carrément Chocolat, the Simple Loaf. There are a lot of good chocolate loaves out there though, and plus I could never keep the salted chocolate shards from sinking to the bottom.
