Cypsèle, Mischief, SENsation--Paris restaurants

Was in Paris for a quick visit in March, and ate at these three new (to me) restaurants.

I am most excited about returning to Cypsèle. I loved the meal from beginning to end, and also the service was friendly and not fussy, but professional for sure. The chef is from Poland originally, grew up in London (I think, English anyway) and his FOH partner/sommelier is from Bordeaux. It’s a tasting menu, but it’s a new menu twice a day–I cannot even imagine this and is a reason I am eager to return. It’s on the expensive side at dinner (€145, but lunch €85. Here’s the menu I ate:

Mischief is Cheffe Erica Parede’s new restaurant (first one is Reyna). It’s a bit fancier, less snacks/more real meal, than Reyna, and the food we had was excellent, scallops, a pasta dish, lamb. A central bar surrounded by a few tables. It’s a lively, happening place with a d.j. (not over loud imo) adding to the party atmosphere.

SENsation, delicious Cantonese food, good cocktails. @Carmenere and I ate our way through most of the dumplings, also we had scallops and fried rice. It’s a beautiful space, as well!
