[Cupertino] Hong Kong mango desserts at Hui Lau Shan 許留山

About a month ago we went to the Hui Lau Shan in Cupertino. Its a famous Hong Kong dessert place that specializes in Mango desserts and have been around for decades. The line was long. They were close to a couple of other dessert / drink places that were deserted at dinner. I guess they stole all the traffic. Their wikipedia page is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hui_Lau_Shan

One of the mango desserts. Its pretty nice.

Warm black sesame paste. Yum.

Hey @hyperbowler I searched but haven’t seen YGF on your list. They are in the same mall. Was in soft opening at that time.

Those desserts look great!

Thanks! I have it listed under Malatang as what’s written below and need to add it to the subsection on chains. How’d you miss it?

I guess the search sucks!

There is a Hui Lau Shan in Berkeley (2282 Fulton Street). I’ve gone a few times on weekends and haven’t had to wait in line.

Ha, there’s got to be more than 700 links on the regional Chinese list, so I’ll forgive discourse’s search function. It’s better suited to reading in one sitting, which, to borrow Douglas Adams’ phrasing, is like having your head smashed in with a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick

Ah, the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster (the drink equivalent to a mugging: expensive and painful) (paraphrasing, of course)

I thought Hui Lau Shan is closing down left and right, but guess not at Cupertino.
