Some Americans say “high tea” when they mean an elegant “afternoon tea” because they somehow got the idea that “high tea” = elegant, when actually, of course, it’s the opposite.

It’s kind of amusing…I guess…

Maybe so, but sheep is in the name … do people think shepherds buy beef instead of eating their own herd? Don’t get high on your own supply, meat edition? :woman_shrugging:

I don’t think too many shepherds were eating lamb. They were selling it to make ends meet, and eating oatmeal.
