Always looking for a good version of Chicken Scarpariello on the bone served with potatoes, sausage and some hot peppers. Alex’s Bar & Grille on North Broadway, North White Plains serves a hearty example. Alex split a generous platter for us last night and it was terrific. The chicken crispy skinned as requested. And I must note, it took some time before it was served. A sign that it had been prepared from scratch, not just brought out minutes after ordering.
On previous visits, we have also enjoyed their Fried Calamari, they do an extra good job with this iconic dish with choice of dipping sauce on the side. They do a continental service of fresh Branzino split tableside. Also like their steaks. Alex’s may be the best bargain around for a quality hunk of beef prepared as you like it…we usually eat in the bar/lounge which is separated from the main dining room.
